Noelle Harff completes Fellowship with Reuters in Argentina

Noelle Harff, OPC Foundation Walter and Betsy Cronkite Scholar Award Winner in 2024 , has just returned home after a fellowship with Reuters in Argentina. Here are a few words from her:

“I just got back from Argentina, and I am starting my final semester at UNC this week. Reflecting on the past six months, I’ve learned so much. Latin America is a really cool region to report from, Argentina specifically. As an economics major, I arrived with a fascination for finance, but exploring economics from Argentina has changed how I see the world. I began reporting amid triple digit inflation and stark change in political leadership. Six months ago, the subway fair in Buenos Aires was 67 pesos, today it’s around 630. From credit to crypto, I was never short on ideas. I was even able to break Argentina's 16 consecutive continental title during Copa America! Thanks to the OPC, those ideas turned to bylines.”

OPC Foundation is grateful for its partner Reuters, Mercedes-Benz and CBS News for enabling and helping to fund this fellowship.
