OPC Foundation winners selected as the New York Times 2024-25 Fellows

Rachel Nostrant, Simon Levien and Kate Selig are joining the the New York Times fellowship program in June for a year-long fellowship. Rachel and Kate will be working together on the National desk. In addition to daily coverage of the U.S. Rachel will also be responsible for disability reporting. Simon will be a Politics fellow.

Rachel won the Edith Lederer Scholarship in 2023 whereas Simon won the Emanuel Freedman Scholarship in the same year. After winning the OPC Foundation Scholarship Rachel had an OPC Foundation fellowship in London with the Associated Press. Simon interned with Wall Street Journal in its D.C. bureau. Kate is a 2024 OPC Foundation winner and alongside breaking news reporting, she wants to focus on enterprise and climate stories.
