Rachel Nostrant, OPC Foundation Edie Lederer Scholar Award winner in 2023, was named as one of  Military Veterans in Journalism’s Top 10 Veterans in Journalism for 2024. Nostrant is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and covers national news as a reporter for The New York Times as a member of the 2024-25 Times Fellowship class. She won for her piece Unsupervised: Military Child Care Centers Slow to Report Abuse with Little Oversight . She had an OPC Foundation fellowship with the Associated Press in London.
