Krithika Varagur Awarded the 2024 Madeline Dane Ross Award from the Overseas Press Club

Krithika Varagur, 2019 Sally Jacobsen winner, was awarded the 2024 Madeline Dane Ross Award from the Overseas Press Club for best international reporting in the print medium or digital showing a concern for the human condition.  She won for her Harper’s Magazine article, “Love in the Time of Sickle-Cell Disease: What’s the Cost of Rolling the Genetic Dice?” She will receive her prize at the OPC Awards Dinner on April 25, 2024. Krithika had an OPC Foundation fellowship with the Associated Press bureau in New Delhi.
