Jp Lawrence returns to the U.S. reporting on southwest Minnesota for the Star Tribune

After six years abroad, Jp Lawrence is returning to the U.S. and joining the Star Tribune. He will be covering southwest Minnesota, an area where he also grew up. Prior to this, has been based in Kabul covering Afghanistan for Stars and Stripes as well as in Germany covering the U.S. military in the Middle East. Lawrence won the OPC Scholarship in 2015.
